12/20/04

We got up just before the sun came out around 7:30 am. It was still super windy on the beach so we elected to stay in the car for breakfast. Everything smells like campfire from last night. We tried to find a couple of caves on the island but the caves are not well marked at all and they all seem to be off some uncharted dirt road in the middle of nowhere so we decided to find a warmer, less windy beach to read on - we went to cala Xaloc.
We decided to stay at Es Torrant again. Our fav beach by far. There were over 10 people there we we arrived ant at least 5 more car loads came after them. There were about 8-10 surfers in the water at any given time. All the surfers would gather in a sort of circle waiting for a good wave. It looked like a weekly meeting of sorts. Caleb and I were jokeing with each other making up their weekly surfer dude club minutes from the last "meeting". We are planning on havint a fire again we gathered all the wood we needed and waited for the surfers to leave. Once everyone was gone we started the fire and it was burnding like a champ. Then along came the owner of the seaside berachside restraunt in his minivan and made us put out the fire. Then he hung around for 20 minutes to see if he was intimidating us to leave the beach. We stood our ground and he left. The rest of the night we had the beach to ourself. It was by far the coldest night we experenced in Ibiza.
