12/22/04

Today was a fairly relaxing day. Because we are in Madrid for quite some time, we don´t have to squeeze all the site seeing in quickly. Nice We did see a triumphal arc in the center of the city. We also did a little shopping, but didn´t buy anything. Still too expensive here. We are hoping that Portugal will be cheaper.
The hostel in which we are staying has many nice people. I may have said this before, but everyday reaffirms this fact. We have met yet another cool Aussie, Jeanine. We have decided that our next trip will be to Australia now that we have met so many cool aussies to stay with:)P I (ang) made dinner for myself, Caleb, Cecilia (the girl we met from Seattle) and Jeanine. I made quesadillas and Jeanine had never had them. She really loved them so I felt good about that. It was great to share a meal with others. Caleb and I have found that it is the nature of hostelling to bond with fellow hostellers fairly quickly. The distance that people usually put between each other is not present at all it seems. Hostelling is a new culture that we are enjoying immensely. Hearing others stories and sharing yours feels good.
We watched some spanish tv. A spanish version of Big Brother. Funny stuff.
