We woke up a bit earlier today and made breakfast here again. Its so great to cook, have I said that already? hehe, we did some actual sight seeing today. First we had found a simple, non-automatic 35 mm camera for 9 € as much as the disposable ones everywhere but barcelona. in fact the disposable cameras in venice were 19 euro!! so we got some cheap film and now we will at least have some photos which makes me feel a whole lot better. We took the metro to the Olympic village and walked around. Then to the top of the hill to see a castle and then we came upon a terrific view from up on the mountain\hill of barcelona port in the meditteranean sea. Gorgeous. We were going to take an air tram ride over part of the city but it was way to expensive so we walked down the mountian. Next we went to Park Guell. It is once again at the top of a very steep hill so we hiked our way on up there. A fabulous view again from the peak. Part of the park is famous because of the architect and artist, Gaudi. He designed some of the buildings and statues in the park. He uses a lot of mosaic work. I really loved it aestetically! I wish I would bring it home because it would be perfect for our wedding. But I think the airline might have a problem with that. Not exactly an extra carry-on:)
We shopped for our dinner and breakfast. There arn´t big supermarkets here like in the US people tend to shop for thigns day to day. Everyone is nicer and more thoughtful here in Barcelona We love it!
