Merry Christmas everyone! (a little late, but still heartfelt:) We have made friends with a number of the people that were staying in our hostel and spent most of the day with them. We did internet early on (couldn´t believe it was open) and walked around a little. the streets of Madrid were practically empty. Even the Gran Via. But it was cold and we had good food, relaxation and movies waiting for us. This guy, Christophe from Germany, brought many DVDs with him from home so we ended up watching like 3 movies in a row. It was great. Just like home, er, sort of. We didn´t have cheesy potatoes and green bean casserole and ham, but still good food. We didn´t get each other gifts so I guess we will just have to do that when we get home. It was great to not have to christmas gift shop and fight the crowds this year. We have never been so stress free at this time of the year. hehe worry not loved ones, you will still get gifts later.
