1/7/04

Today we went to the finally open post office to send home some more accumulated and not needed stuff. Then did a little shopping because there were huge sales going on. We got on the twisty road down the mountian and I got really car sick again. It was beautiful none the less. We drove past the Rock of Gibralter and Algeciras. We got sunny but bery windy Tarifa early afternoon. It is a very small beach town, but not an excessive number of sites to see. We got to see a gorgeous sunset on the long beach. Both Rick and us dropped off our laundry. The most expencive laundry I have ever done or I should say have had done by someone else(11.20€) The german guy, Chris that runs the lavanderia(laundrymat) with his wife and daughter also run an adventure company. They lead hikes, rock climbing, tennis and other stuff. He was really nice, to bad that we didnt get a discount on our laundry. To cut costs Caleb and I decided to sleep in the car overnight while rick stayed in the hostal on the main drag. We found a good spot to park right next to the beach by a bunch of caravans. Once parked we met another nice german guy named Herric. He and his wife, who was from france and their baby were traveling all over spain for 5 weeks. There was a lighthouse within sight that shone brightly on our car but caleb hung things in the windows to block out the light. We slept pretty well since the car is much bigger then the one on Ibiza.
